Sony outs Imaging Edge Webcam app for live streaming and video conferencing

Sony has recently released a new app that allows select Sony cameras to turn into a high-quality webcam.

Available for free, the app can be used for live streaming and video conferencing. To use their Sony cameras as a high-quality webcam, users may connect their cameras to their PCs via USB 3 cable, download and install the app, and open it.

Currently, the app supports 35 Sony camera models. Among the Sony cameras compatible with the app are the Alpha 9 II, Alpha 9, Alpha 7R IV, Alpha 7R III, Alpha 7R II, Alpha 7S II, Alpha 7S, Alpha 7 III, Alpha 7 II, Alpha 6600, Alpha 6400, Alpha 6100, RX100 VII, RX100 VI, RX0 II, RX0, ZV-1, and the Alpha 7S III.
