Sun Cellular still hitting high growth at 17%

This year is a big year for Digitel Mobile Philippines, Inc or commonly known as Sun Cellular. The company celebrates a successful two quarters of the year with a 17% increase in net service revenue as compared to last year, the highest we’ve seen from any telco this year.

Sun Cellular has seen dramatic increase in revenue on almost all of their services including prepaid, postpaid and broadband. The company believes that this growth is due to the introduction of the new prepaid offerings and enticing postpaid plans and flexible broadband offerings.

However, according to the telco’s President and CEO Orlando Vea, the biggest factor to be credited to this sucess is their strong partnership with PLDT. This has brought a lot of improvements on their networks and according to him they’ll continue to expand their network coverage.

Things are looking good for the company so far and we hope that this trend continues as they close out the year.

Sun’s prepaid broadband is not bad at all!
I was able to use it for work and play.

I work as a system admin, and we have to log on to different servers remotely and that is a bandwidth hog, but Sun was able to handle it.

Also, I play GG/DOTA with my friends, and we enable trashtalk by using Skype while we’re playing, and there wasn’t any noticeable lag sa game namin! (Gabi till madaling araw kmi naglalaro)

I just used Sun’s P100 unli-broadband that is good for three days!

I’m just using an open line Huawei E153u-2 modem.

I use the modem in Cavite and Makati.

Para sakin, Sulit talaga ang Sun!

Totally agree with you !! Sun always has full bars of 3G HSPA unlike Globe… I always get 2.2 Mbps tops with my sun internet tethered to my laptop. What speeds are you getting ?

This only means it is still profitable to offer maximized unlimited services!
