Threads now supports 10,000-character text attachments for posts

Listen to article

In a recent article, Meta announced that Threads now supports text attachments with up to 10,000 characters for posts. The previous cap was at 500 characters, which users circumvented by just uploading screenshots/photos of text for longer posts.

With the new feature, users can now use it to share more of their thoughts directly within the app. The new attachment option also supports links within the main post, directing readers to full articles, newsletters, or other content.

This move aims to help Threads become more useful for creators who want to give more details for their posts. The best example for using the feature is for promoting your work without worrying about character limitations.

At the time of writing, the feature is now live and available for use. However, Meta also mentioned that they will continue to refine it based on user feedback.
