Trends, the leading local systems integrator, held a month-long 25th Anniversary celebration that started with an invitational golf tournament followed by a car racing and archery event. The company then capped off the celebration with a grand dinner in Okada Manila last October 27, 2017. Among those invited, were esteemed partners – both their clients and principals. It was an eventful evening as the company highlighted their long journey to success, valued partnerships, and renewed corporate identity.
The dinner was kick-started by a dance performance from Ballet Philippines followed by the introduction of MCs Chi Datu Bocobo and Menggi Cobbarubias. After the opening remarks from the MCs, Trends Chief Operating Officer Mr. Renan Velonza took to the stage to relive Trends’ humble beginnings and to thank the company’s partners for their continued support and friendship, after which a video of the company’s history and growth were played. Raph Salazar, Junior Grand Champion Performer and Junior Grand Champion Solo Vocalist of the World at the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA), and Marielle Mamaclay, Grand Champion at WCOPA then showcased their talents as they sang songs that represented Trends’ journey and hardships.
After the serenade from WCOPA’s Grand Champions, Mr. Renan Velonza once again took to the stage, this time to relay to the crowd the future direction of the company, its Vision, Mission, and a new expression of its Values. After the announcement, the company’s board of directors and business unit heads went center stage to reveal the new VMV, which started with the company’s vision, “We aspire to be the trusted and leading technology-enabled business services company globally,” followed by their Mission, “Driven by our core values, we deliver innovative, adaptive, and exemplary technology-enabled business services to provide long-term and sustainable value to our stakeholders,” and ended with their six values: Trust and Faith in God, Respect and Integrity, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Network, Delivery, and Social Responsibility.
After this, Mr. Velonza proudly introduced Trends Chief Executive Officer Mr. Hasan Fard, who, after once again thanking the organization’s partners, unveiled the company’s new logo and tagline – “Technology to Transcend”. The new logo was filled with positive meanings and symbolized the company and its overall commitment to its partners. Mr. Fard then explained the new tagline, “We want you, our clients to Transcend with Trends,” and that to Transcend means, “To be better, to [reach] the next level.”
The new vision and mission of the company shows their promise to clients and stakeholders to strive to become a global leader in business services and to continue to provide them with the necessary tools to remain competitive in the ever-changing world of technology. In the rapidly changing digital landscape, Trends is capable of delivering its clients’ needs as it aspires to provide long-term and sustainable value to its stakeholders. Trends’ adaptive and innovative culture leads the way towards its vision of becoming the leading global technology-enabled business services company. As said by Trends Chief Operating Officer Renan Velonza, “This strategic vision and direction shows a renewed commitment from our team to be the best version of ourselves.”
After all the big reveals and serenades, Mr. Fard invited everyone to toast to Trends’ partners who supported them along the way and to Trends’ transformation and continued success. The evening then proceeded with more festivities to celebrate this significant milestone.
