Xiaomi Mi Powerbanks sold out in 10 seconds in Lazada

When the clock strike exactly 12 noon, Lazada opened the sale of the Xiaomi Mi Powerbanks. But less than 10 seconds later, both the 5k and 10k mAh models are all sold out.

It’s impossible that all those units have been sold in under 10 seconds (we waited and counted every second).

Something is really fishy here but we’ll get official word from Xiaomi PH and Lazada for their comments.

Update (12:12PM): After several refreshes, the 5k mAh became available again and we were able to purchase one.

I managed to buy 4 mi powerbank 10400mah nung Sept 4. In the span of 47 seconds ko un nacheckout (COD). Dumating narin ung order kong 4 kahapon. Parang apple product tlga siya. before charging the powerbank to full (initial charge nung powerbank is around 25%), inubos ko muna siya at nakadalawang cycle ako sa iphone5. In fairness, sa presyo niyang 645, mura tlga at maganda ung quality. Pabilisan lng tlga sa pag click kapag nag flash sale ang lazada. sama mo narin ung speed ng connection mo.

Do not worry there should be another batch. [Tip] Setup your Lazada account early on. Put in your shipping address. Save your credit card info. Not sure for COD, sorry. Login before the sale starts. Wait for the Buy Now button to appear. There was really a glitch with the time because at exactly 12nn it was out of stock. But I was patient and waited and refreshed until I saw the Buy Now. Snagged 3 units then proceed with checkout in less than 30s. Done. Hopefully I they sell more units, specially the Pistons which will surely be a hot item. Good luck to everyone.

Ang daming butthurt dahil di nakakuha. Nagkaron lang ng bug yung system for 5 minutes eh parang gumuho na mga mundo niyo. FYI, nakakuha ako nung 10400mah, 3 pcs pa. Nagkaproblema lang yung countdown. Nagstart lang yung stock 12:05 PM. Buti na lang nag abang parin ako di tulad nung mga nagwawala kagad.

exactly, refresh refresh din kasi. sabihin na natin na the site went under heavy load kakarefresh ng mga users @ 12:00pm kaya hindi na makahabol ung site.

Pasensya lang naman ng 5 mins ang kelangan pero ung iba inuna ang reklamo, ayan tuloy walang napala lalo.

Nag abang ako pag 12:00 agad sa time I got an notice from lazada na available na, pag click ko sold out agad wala pang 12:01. Na unahan tayo sa gumagamit ng parang bot app na sobrang bilis maka place sa order.

Medyo nadismaya din ako. Nag abang din ako ng saktong 12:00, comming soon pa nakalagay, nag refresh ako 12:03 sold out na daw, swerte ng mga nakabili after beyond 12:03. Guys relax lang tayo, ang may kasalanan dyan is yung pano e handle ni LAZADA ung transaction nya sa website nila.

Scenario:
stocks available=50 pcs
@12:01 user1 ordered 30 pcs
fillup xa ng mga need na information.

Remaining stocks 50 – 30 (ordered by user1) = 20

stocks available=20 pcs
@12:03 user2 odered 20 pcs
fillup xa ng mga need na information.

Remaining stocks 20 – 20 (ordered by user2) = 0

@12:04 user3 – OUT of stock na.

antayin mo nalang September 9 innanounce namin ang iPhone 6 hindi kasi removable yung battery, ayaw sa design ni Jony Ive at ni Boss Steve Dati. so bumili ako ng 10,400mAH na powerbank para sa iPhone 6 :)

sabi ni Xiaomi naka source daw kay Samsung at LG yung battery, pero mas pinili ko source sa LG dapat sabi ko sa Lazada.

This is a SCAM! Flash sale strategy is just that – flash. Nalingat lang ako ng konti, ubos na. Lokohan ba ito?! Ilan ba binenta nila? Isa? Grabe naman… They may have the good specs but given its limited availability – useless lang… Better buy other brands from the store kesa sa lazada… Sana naman sabihin nila ilang unit ang available… BE TRANSPARENT… DTI should look at this SCAM… Ang hirap bumili.

By the way, Baka aalis na si sa xiaomi ph, dami daw kasi utak talangka. Balik na mamahal sa presyo yung mga local brands.

simple lang nmaan ang nangyari, if u were not able to buy one, it just means that you may noy not be fast enough to enter your details, you are not patient enough to refresh a page, or inuna mo muna reklamo sa facebook or kung saan man tungkol dito

marketing gimmick lang ito.
“Limited Stocks” daw, but no actual figures.
Maluwag kasi masyado ang DTI. Dapat yang ganyang promos ay may actual figures kung ilan ang available.
So possible na 100 units or less lang ang ibinenta.
Tiningnan ko yung sa Singapore, they are very transparent, 5000 units each model. ( so probably at least 25 minutes bago ito maubos kung 200 units per minute)
I heard na napenalize na nga ang Xiaomi sa Taiwan for giving wrong information to consumers (faking sales figures)

Well what happened in my case is by 12nn nag out of stock sya agad. So shocked ako kase at exactly 11:59:57 nag refresh ako ng page then unavailable daw. Then clinick ko yung quicklink na for Mi PB. Ayon, sold out sya. Then i kept on refreshing at nag iiba yung placement ng mga products nila when you type Mi Powerbank sa search. Im thinking na nag uupdate sila ng bagong webpage. So by 12:05 i was able to see the buy now button, proceeded and by 12:07 i’ve processed the order na. And by now, i was notified that it will be shipped within today.

Im disappointed to Sir Abe, I’m a avid readee sa tech site nato. Pero parang mini mis judge na nila agad. Alam naman natin na posibleng may glitch na mangyayari, ilang users were trying to access that page di natin alam kung ano capacity ni lazada. Smell fishy ka agad? Dahil ba supported etong site ng ibang brands? Buti may unbox.ph. :)

Other sites that sell limited quantities of hot items limits 1-2 orders per account. Also by allowing hoardings customers are able to apply discount vouchers to lessen the total cost which from a business point of view is a bad idea because it gives the company less revenue to an item that will be sold out in a few minutes or hours anyway.

Lazada has it’s timer and at exactly 12nn they announced it’s open but can’t click Buy button as it is indicated Temporary out of stock. When when I go to http://www.mi.com/ph/powerbank, there’s a link Buy at Lazada and transaction went through.

This 10 sec report is inaccurate. There were just confusion on how to buy.

At exactly 12:00 noon wala pa cya, I think they were updating the page cuz i kept on refreshing. Around 12:05 nag available na cya. I got 5pcs 10400Mah for myself and my friends. All is fair in love and war lol. The smaller one was still available for a few minutes after bago na wala. Bilis talaga na ubos.

I got 2 units of the 10,400 mAh heres what happened:

– At exactly 12 noon the status was sold out.
– Around 12:03 stock became available.
– It took me a minute to orde because of the very slow page.
– Finally at arounf 12:05 out of stock na.

So there you have it guys in about 2-3 minutes sold out na yung powerbanks.

Marketing strategy yan,only few items are on stocks say 20 lang tapos sasabihin na 20000 ang stocks. thats what xiaomi have been doing to attract the attention of consumers since hugo barra transferred to xiaomi. one concrete example is the xiaomi mi 3 na ubos agad nung flash sale pero hanggang ngayon may stock pa rin hahaha

It is unfair that I was already checking out and typing my credit card details when the 3 units of Mi Power Bank 10400mAh (Silver) Article ID: MI287ELAD7E1ANPH-208087 disappeared from my shopping cart! That is injustice to someone who waited for over a week and did not sleep just to buy the items. I was on queue starting 11:58 AM! Moreover, the said item was still marked OUT OF STOCK by 12:05 PM! When I had the chance, I immediately placed 3 orders of it (along with the screen guard and flip cover) and proceeded to check out for the payment because I know putting it in the cart does not guarantee it to be mine but during payment???? PAYMENT! Maybe if I stalled payment by 1 minute, you could tell that to my face. For a first time buyer from this site, this is a bad experience. The PhP200 voucher did not work. I typed it in and nothing was deducted. I should by from other sites because of this. Rest assure I will tell all of my friends and officemates about this!

Same thing, was able to click on Buy Now at around 12:05PM, then after confirming, also got the OUT_OF_STOCK error.

As of the moment, even the page of the 10k mAh Powerbank is not available.
