Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest foldable, the MIX Fold 3. Powering this device is the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen2 and brings even slimmer profile than its predecessor.
It now measures only 5.26mm unfolded, and 10.89mm folded. This is significantly slimmer than the MIX Fold 2 which had 5.4mm and 11.2mm, respectively.
To get that number, engineers at Xiaomi designed a vertically stacked motherboard to reduce the device’s size. The company also developed a new hinge design taking up less internal space. It can also be opened at an angle from 45- to 135-degree hover.
