Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro 5G variant now official

Xiaomi has welcomed a new addition for its sub-brand tablet offerings, the Redmi Pad Pro 5G 22. Aside from 5G support (dual SIM), the tablet retains the design and specifications of the Wi-Fi only version that has been launched last month.

It packs the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, 12.1-inch Wide QHD+ LCD panel, and 10,000mAh battery with 33W charging.

Price and availability

With the addition of 5G capability, it naturally comes with a price increase. The Redmi Pad Pro 5G now starts at CNY 1,999PHP 16,114USD 275INR 23,274EUR 261 for the 6GB+128GB trim and CNY 2,399PHP 19,338USD 330INR 27,931EUR 314 for the 8GB+256GB config. That’s approx. Php16USD 0.27INR 23EUR 0.26CNY 2.1K and Php19USD 0.32INR 27EUR 0.31CNY 2.3K, respectively, in today’s rates.

For reference, the Wi-Fi only version only retails for CNY 1,499PHP 12,083USD 206INR 17,453EUR 196 (~Php12K). No word yet on a local launch in the Philippines.
