Listen to article

ASUS has introduced the ROG Strix XG27JCG, the world’s first gaming monitor to combine a 5K resolution with a super-fast 180Hz refresh rate. The 27-inch Fast IPS display can also switch to QHD at 330Hz, giving players the choice between ultra-sharp visuals or maximum speed. A Hong Kong retailer has already listed it for HKD 6,499 ( PHP 49,287.71 ) with units expected to arrive by December 31.

The monitor supports HDR600, hits 600 nits peak brightness, and covers 97% DCI-P3, making it ideal for both gaming and content creation. It includes G-Sync, FreeSync Premium Pro, ELMB 2, and Variable Overdrive for smoother motion. Connectivity is stacked too, with DisplayPort 1.4 DSC, HDMI 2.1, USB-C, and a USB hub. More details are expected at CES 2026.
