How Much It Will Cost to Go Full Apple

Everyone (or everyone I know) knows Apple. It’s the company that produces beautiful products that we love to hate mostly because they’re expensive. But, let’s say we have the budget and we decide to go full Apple for all our tech needs, how much will it cost? Let’s find out.

Author’s note: The Apple products mentioned below are those with official PH pricing at the time of writing.

Desktop

Let’s start with the desktop. The iMac is a good place to start as it has everything in the package, including the iMac itself with a built-in display, keyboard, and mouse.

Base: Php56,990 (21.5-inch Full HD)
High-end: Php118,990 (27-inch Retina 5K)

Laptop

For the laptop, we have the new MacBook Pro. Its most notable feature is the Touch Bar — a Multi-Touch–enabled strip of glass built into the keyboard.

Base: Php83,990 (13-inch)
High-end: Php153,990 (15-inch)

Smartphone

An Apple gear wouldn’t be complete without the iPhone. You may start with a 32GB iPhone 7 or go up to a 256GB iPhone 7 Plus.

Base: Php37,990 (iPhone 7 32GB)
High-end: Php56,990 (iPhone 7 Plus 256GB)

Tablet

For the tablet segment, we’ll go for the iPad Pro. You can start with the 9.7-inch model or go for the 12.9-inch if you really need that kind of screen real estate.

Base: Php32,990 (iPad Pro 9.7-inch, WiFi, 32GB)
High-End: Php59,990 (iPad Pro 12.9-inch, WiFi + Cellular, 256GB)

Smartwatch

The Apple Watch Series 2 will arrive in the country on November 11. It has 21 configurations due to it having different cases, styles, and materials.

Base: Php20,990 (38mm Aluminum Case with Sport Band)
High-end: Php61,990 (42mm Space Black Stainless Steel Case with Space Black Link Bracelet)

TV companion

If you want Apple to dominate your life, your TV shouldn’t be spared. The 4th-gen Apple TV is actually a worthy gadget as it brings the power App Store on the big screen. Not only you can watch movies, you can also use it for gaming with the help of the Apple TV Remote with Touch.

Base: Php8,790 (32GB)
High-end: Php11,690 (64GB)

Now with all that mentioned, let’s compute for the base models.

Php56,990 – iMac, 21.5-inch Full HD
Php83,990 – MacBook Pro 2016, 13-inch
Php37,990 – iPhone 7, 32GB
Php32,990 – iPad Pro 9.7-inch, WiFi, 32GB
Php20,990 – Apple Watch Series 2, 38mm Aluminum Case w/ Sport Band
Php8,790 – 4th Gen Apple TV, 32GB

TOTAL: Php241,740

As for the high-end models.

Php118,990 – iMac, 27-inch Retina 5K
Php153,990 – MacBook Pro 2016, 15-inch
Php56,990 – iPhone 7 Plus, 256GB
Php59,990 – iPad Pro 12.9-inch, WiFi + Cellular, 256GB
Php61,990 – Apple Watch Series 2, 42mm Space Black Stainless Steel Case w/ Space Black Link Bracelet
Php11,690 – 4th Gen Apple TV, 64GB

TOTAL: Php463,640

In summary, you will need to shell out almost at least a quarter of a million just to go full Apple for your gadget needs, and that doesn’t even include accessories and add-ons.

Apple is meant for the people who can afford it. No one’s forcing anyone to buy anything. So wtf are you poor assholes crying about?

Yugatech writers – Why not publishing also a Tagalog version on all your articles for the benefit of some of your avid readers so they can provide a feedback with a sense.

    Just my two cents.

Apple has gotten away with its overpriced products since day one because like Louis Vuitton, it’s a status symbol that defines which societal class one belongs. And it’s so unfortunate that here in the country, the rich are favored over the poor so that everyone wants to be rich. But banking on quality, options aren’t lacking to say the least. Asus, Lenovo to name a few have stood out, coming up with electronics that neither break the bank nor fall short of high quality standards. Don’t get me wrong here. Unless you’re earning six figures a month or more and can splurge on it, then go ahead. But if you’re one of the many who are trying to make ends meet, you had better check out the sea of alternatives that offer the same specs at a fraction of the cost.
