Lenovo bolsters their ThinkPad portfolio for 2018

Lenovo is making a strong push this year as they bolster their ThinkPad line-up of notebooks namely their T, X, and L portfolio. Check out their planned releases for this year below.

ThinkPad X Series

Lenovo’s ThinkPad X series features a compact design, yoga flexibility, and ample performance. These notebooks are Mil-Spec tested for their durability and features a thin and light form factor. The ThinkPad X280 is even equipped with Rapid Charging and is rated to have up to 16.6 hours of battery life while the X380 Yoga is rated for up to 13.6 hours. Both devices will be available on the market this January 2018.

ThinkPad T Series

Lenovo’s ThinkPad T series is built with performance and portability in mind, these laptops are equipped with 8th generation Intel Core CPUs and strong battery life of up to 27 hours. The ThinkPad T580 even has an option of having a discrete graphics card and up to a UHD display while the T480s is a variant of the T480 with a weight of only 2.9lbs (1.32kg). All of these devices also sport a fingerprint reader, ThinkShutter Camera privacy, and IR camera’s for facial recognition and will be available this January 2018.

ThinkPad L Series

These laptops offer thin and light form factors with sizes from 13-inches to 15-inches at very affordable price tags. They are powered by Intel 8th generation Core processors with optional multi-touch displays and docking solutions. The ThinkPad L580 can even be equipped with discrete AMD graphics. All of these devices will be available in February 2018.

ThinkPad L480 – Starts at $779 (~Php 39,254)

ThinkPad L580 – Starts at $769 (~Php 38,750)

Lenovo Tablet 10

Their ThinkPad line-up of laptops weren’t the only devices that received an update as Lenovo also announced their new and improved Lenovo Tablet 10. The tablet features a detachable keyboard, an integrated rechargeable pen, a fingerprint reader and a discrete Trusted Platform Module for added protection. The tablet is powered by Intel’s Celeron N processor and will be available come March 2018. Pricing is yet to be announced.

ThinkPad Ultra Docking Station

Lenovo is keen on providing their ThinkPad devices with the necessary accessories to extend a users experience. One of those accessories is the ThinkPad Ultra Docking Station which provides added connectivity options and additional power to most 12-inch, 14-inch, and 15-inch ThinkPad laptops. It has an easy to use on-touch slide-to-connect mechanism. The docking station will be available this January and will come in three different models — Basic 90W priced at $199 (~Php 10,027), Pro 135W priced at $249 (~Php 12,547), and Ultra 135W priced at $299 (~Php 15,066).

ThinkVision X24 and P32u

Apart from laptops and tablets, Lenovo will also release a new set of monitors to compliment their ThinkPad line-up. The ThinkVision X24 is an ultra-thin monitor with a thickness of just 4mm and an almost bezel-less border. It has a Full HD IPS display with a rated 96% sRGB color gamut.

The P32u, on the other hand, is a 32-inch near bezel-less monitor in 4K resolution with Thunderbolt 3 for daisy-chaining and a flexible stand that could be tilted, swiveled, lifted, and pivoted. The ThinkVision X24 will be available this January 2018 with a price tag of $249 (~Php 12,547) while the P32u will be available in March 2018 with a price tag of $1,349 (~Php 67,977).
