Tablets in the Philippines under PHP 20K (2021)

Tablets are not as abundant as smartphones nowadays, but these devices are still handy as they are great for multimedia consumption, creation, productivity, education, as well as other tasks that require a bigger screen. So, if you’re looking for tablets under PHP 20K, here are some recommendations.

Note: The tablets listed below were launched in the Philippines in 2021 are priced from PHP 10K to PHP 20K.

Xiaomi Pad 5

Let’s start with the hottest tablet in the Philippines right now, the Xiaomi Pad 5. It features an 11-inch WQHD+ (1600 x 2560) with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, quad speakers, USB-C port, Xiaomi Smart Pen support, and runs on MUI 12.5 based on Android 11. Powering it is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860, 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and an 8,720mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging.

It is priced at PHP 17,990 for 6GB + 128GB and PHP 19,990 for the 6GB + 256GB.

Apple iPad (9th-gen)

Next, we have Apple‘s latest and most affordable tablet in the 2021 lineup, the iPad (9th-gen). Although the new iPad sports an old design, Apple equipped it with an A13 Bionic chip to make sure that it can keep up with the demands of iPadOS. It also features a 10.2-inch (2160 x 1620) IPS panel, 64GB and 256GB storage options, optional 4G LTE, Touch ID, support for Apple Pencil (1st-gen), and works with the Smart Keyboard.

The iPad (9th-gen) WiFi-only with 64GB of storage is priced at PHP 19,990. There are other models but they’re above PHP 20K.

Huawei MatePad 10.4 (2021)

Huawei‘s offering under this price range is the MatePad (2021). It’s a mid-range tablet with a 10.4-inch (2000 x 1200) IPS display, Kirin 820 chipset, 4GB of RAM, up to 128GB of storage, 8MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, quad speakers, USB-C, 7,250mAh battery, and runs on EMUI 10.1.

Price starts at PHP 14,249 for the 4GB + 64GB, 4G LTE model, and PHP 18,999 for the 4GB + 128GB.

TCL Tab 10S

Lastly, we have the TCL Tab 10S, which sports a 10.1-inch FHD+ display, up to 4GB of RAM, up to 64GB of storage, MediaTek MT8768 octa-core chipset, and an 8,000mAh battery. It comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The Tab 10S has support for the optional TCL T-Pen stylus, which is to be sold separately.
