Somehow I noticed that this is NOT an “EX” DC lens…walang gold ring…which means, this is NOT a premium lens…uhmm…mag ingat sa mga bibili…kalimitan pangit ang optical quality ng non EX Sogmas…

di rin EX and bagong 35 f/1.4 nila, pero very good ang optical quality

Bro do check again the Sigma lenses. They’ve changed their categorizing na. These lines are now their flagship/premium line. The art, contemporary and sport lenses now feature the same zeiss-looking finish, trashing their old look with them gold and red rings. Though their old lenses are still available in the market, it is highly possible though that they will soon replace all of their old lenses. They’ve already started with the 30mm prime and the 120-300mm zoom.

So kung titignan mo, mas premium quality na ang mga lenses na to kaysa sa gold ringed lenses nila.

+1 on what Sir Earl Choa. But if the price tag is cheap, then this will be one of the most anticipated lens in the Photog industry. Even me, as a hobbyist, can’t wait to get a hand on this lens.

I doubt a lot of pro photographers will be getting this, most pros use full frame DSLRs, this is built for APS-C sensors, as a back up, maybe, but unlikely to be their workhorse lens…

Somehow I don’t see the importance of a big aperture wide angle lens… and being a zoom lens, it will never be as sharp as prime lenses at its widest aperture..kasi marami ng layers ng glass na nagpapatong patong

Interesting release, but I doubt it will be affordable
