Cherry Mobile has just announced the arrival of Android Lollipop for some of their smartphones including their Flare lineup.

Back in October, Cherry Mobile announced the Android Lollipop upgrade for the following Flare smartphones – Flare S3 Octa, Flare S3 Power, Flare S3 Lite and Flare X. They have now updated that list with some getting it starting next year. Take a look below:

* Flare S3 – OTA Available
* Flare S3 Lite – OTA Available
* Flare S3 Mini – Confirmed 2016
* Flare S3 Octa – Confirmed 2016
* Flare S3 Power – Confirmed 2016
* Touch XL – OTA Available
* Flare X – SD card update Available/ OTA Confirmed 2016

For the Flare X, Cherry Mobile didn’t mention how users can download the update to their SD card but we’ll update this post once they’ve released an instruction. For the meantime, you can follow the comment thread on their Facebook post below.

This trend needs to stop! the only reason they are delaying the update is because of their stupid skins!
