The company mentions that the update will begin “this week” for the two smartphones. Although aside from the usual changes brought by the new software version, it’s interesting to note that the Moto Z and Moto Z Force will also be compatible with Daydream which is an Android-powered VR platform from Google.

“These are the first smartphones from another manufacturer to be recognized by Google as Daydream-ready devices – a distinction given to phones that have been certified for the Daydream platform and are built for VR with high-resolution displays, ultra-smooth graphics and high-fidelity sensors for precise head tracking,” as posted by Motorola on its page.

It seems like users of these devices will have more to look forward to for their next update. Those interested may visit the Moto software upgrades page for more details.
