Project NEON for Windows 10 brings new UI design

Windows 10 will soon receive a slight makeover. If you’re not liking the current design of its apps, you’re in a for treat.

This is Project NEON, the upcoming UI change for the latest version of Windows. According to MSPoweruser, it’s one of the internal plans at Microsoft for the future of Windows 10’s interface. It’s not a big update but rather a cosmetic overhaul.

Windows 10 is a great version so far because it managed to fuse the best of Windows from each version. The Project NEON will bring back the Aero Glass effect from Windows 7 with the swift animations from Windows Phone 8/7. The overall effect will be called “Acrylic” and it’s similar with the frosted glass effect of iOS.

Paired with good animations and revamped UI, we’re expecting a more friendly Windows environment which will look nice on a crisp display. Do keep in mind that these are just early plans and concepts, so final results may differ.
