SwiftKey updates its smartphone keyboard powered by Neural Networks

If you’re using Swiftkey, you’re getting an update that’s a first among smartphone keyboards. Just announced today, the updated Swifkey keyboard will be powered by neural networks.

What exactly is this update? According to the company who developed the app, its Android counterpart will now be able to predict better and smarter thanks the power of the neural network. It figures out the next word to use based on the context of the current phrase rather than commonly used words. You can check out the video below.

The update will initially roll out to US and UK Swiftkey Android users while other regions will follow soon. iOS users need to wait for now as there’s still no news about the update for the mobile operating system’s version.
