Based on OpenSignal’s findings, Smart Communications got a 36% LTE Coverage which put the MVP-owned telco 173rd spot in the global ranking. Globe Telecoms, on the other hand, fared a tad better than its rival, securing the 161st spot in the global ranking with an LTE Coverage of 41%. When combined, the Philippines have an average LTE Coverage of 39% which, as mentioned earlier, is the second to worst in all of the countries on the list. The only country has worse average LTE Coverage is Sri Lanka which had 38-percent. Google’s 2025 Year in Search highlights the topics that captured the attention of the Philippines this year.
