ABS-CBN has introduced its new digital terrestrial television (DTT) boxes that have internet access in Cebu and Davao. Branded as ABS-CBN TVPlus Internet, it is actually just the usual TVPlus box with an ABS-CBN prepaid broadband stick plugged into it, essentially turning it into a wireless access point. ABS-CBN TVPlus Internet is now available for Php2,999 in Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Talisay City, Mandaue City, and Davao City. In an effort to reach wider audience, the Lopez-owned network has recently made the ABS-CBN TVplus, aka “Ang Mahiwagang Blackbox” available at Lazada. The ABS-CBN TVplus offers free-to-air digital channels including ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN Sports and Action and four exclusive channels (dzMM Teleradyo, Yey, Knowledge Channel and CineMo) in some areas in North Luzon region and in Metro Cebu. Like the DTTV blackbox that you can get off a physical store, the ABS-CBN TVplus that is being offered in Lazada will also come with a standard one-year warranty, an ABS-CBN Mobile SIM card, and has the same price tag of Php2,500 a pop.
