ABS-CBN now has a new model of their popular mahiwagang black box called TVplus. It now comes in a new packaging and has a smaller footprint compared to its previous version.

As can be seen from the image above courtesy of DTV Pilipinas, the new black box is more compact and resembles the Apple TV in design. The ports include the connector for an external antenna, a USB port, HDMI-out port, a 3.5mm jack for RCA, and a DC-in for power supply.

Despite the inclusion of an HDMI port, there’s still no news of free-to-air high definition broadcast for ABS-CBN channels. On the other hand, the purpose of the USB port is yet to be determined.

The new ABS-CBN TVplus is still priced at Php1,999 through official retailers and sellers within the coverage areas. To see more of the new TV Plus model, head over to the source link to see DTV Pilipinas’ gallery.

Bakit ang signal ng 7 at 5 HD kahit simpleng antena lang no need for black box / digital box.

Those are still analog channels. Once NTC orders all TV stations to switch to digital signals, analog channels will cease to air and the only way to access them are through devices that are compatible with the ISDB-T standard.

Just bought my black box. Kaso walang audio. Kapag naka analog, meron naman. Yung new model ang napurchase ko. Yung AV cable is yellow, white & red.. Then yung dulo, isa lang.. Patulong naman.

may nabibili po kayang adaptor ng AV to HDMI? kase yung nabili kong tv plus iba ung connector (hindi ko alam ung tawag) basta ung dulo parang connector ng headset at yung kabilang dulo ung may red, white, yellow..eh ung tv namin yung pwedeng saksakan eh isang AV IN at HDMI..sino pwede makatulong? yung nabili kong tv plus katulad nung picture sa taas..

Pahelp naman po..kabibili ko lang tv plus same ng picture above kaso nung gagamitin ko naging black and white yung tv ko..pero nung nagtesting kami sa binilihan ko colored naman po yung TV(sharp aquos) but in my own TV sa bahay black ang white na..sana po matulungan nyo ako…thanks po

Nakabile ako ng TVPlus na walang HDMI port. Binalik ko kasi HDMI tlga ang habol ko. Wala akong mahanapan na may HDMI port. Nakakadisappoint. :(

Unfortunately you new stocks nila wala na ulit HDMI :( Just confirmed in Abensons.
BTW, yung may HDMI may kasama pa din cables para sa RCA connections. Nawala lang yung HDMI sa new stocks nila (Yung mas maliit yung remote).

Wait wait wait….so the old one did *not* have an HDMI port? No wonder I’ve been seeing stacks of them unsold. Even the most basic DTV boxes I’ve seen have HDMI as a standard.
