The tool includes built-in editing features such as background removal, aspect ratio changes, and the ability to generate up to eight images at once in up to 2K resolution. Blackmagic Design has officially released DaVinci Resolve 21, bringing a new Photo page, AI-powered tools, workflow improvements, and expanded camera format support. The update also introduces several AI-powered tools, including IntelliSearch for locating clips and content, CineFocus for adjusting focus effects, and new portrait enhancement features. Editors gain new keyframing controls, improved subtitle management, timeline comparison tools, and support for Lottie animations and OGraf HTML graphics. Google is partnering with CapCut to bring video and image editing tools to the Gemini app. CapCut said users will soon be able to edit photos and videos directly through Gemini using some of its editing features. However, the company has not yet revealed which tools will be included or if subscriptions will be required. CapCut already offers AI-powered editing tools and previously partnered with Google through Google Photos, which added an “edit with CapCut” shortcut in its 2025 recap feature.
