Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has announced a new partnership with smartphone maker Honor, aiming to create a seamless “intelligent ecosystem” that unites your phone and your car into one connected experience. These keys will allow Honor smartphone users to unlock, lock, and start their BYD vehicles automatically without ever needing to pull their phone out of a pocket or bag. By teaming up, BYD and Honor are taking a major step toward closing the gap between smartphones and vehicles. Tesla, known for being one of the biggest manufacturers of electric vehicles today, has delivered its first 30 Model 3s to their respective owners last Friday at the automaker's manufacturing plant in Fermont, California. The agency also said some transactions remain unsupported by the current system, including processes related to public utility vehicles, Motor Vehicle User's Charge exemptions, and the automatic collection of penalties for newly registered vehicles. The LTMS is one of the government's largest digital transformation projects, handling millions of records and transactions involving drivers, vehicles, and transport operators nationwide. JoyRide said it reduced its commission for four-wheel vehicles from 20% to 15%, with some drivers able to bring it down further to 10% through incentives tied to activity levels. The company also introduced fuel discounts, rebates, and incentives, while exploring a shift toward electric vehicles to reduce long-term costs.
