The Metro Manila Council (MMC) has voted and recommended to downgrade NCR to Alert Level 1 starting March 1. In a meeting held Tuesday night (February 22), the mayor said that they will be sending a recommendation to the Metro Manila Development Authority or MMDA to downgrade the Alert Level from the current Alert Level 2 to Alert Level 1.   In an earlier report, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said that Alert Level 1 will likely be considered as the new normal scenario until the state of public health emergency is lifted in the country.
