AMD has announced its latest 4000-series Ryzen and Athlon consumer APUs, as well as their commercial PRO processors. The AMD Ryzen 4000 G-Series desktop processors are built on the same Zen 2 architecture as the 3000-series Ryzen processors available in the market today, with built-in Vega graphics. [table id=1507 /] The Ryzen 4000 and Athlon 3000 G and GE series desktop processors will be available on Lenovo and HP desktops and laptops starting in Q3 2020. AMD has kicked off CES 2025 with a slew of announcements across its processor and GPU lineups, targeting desktops, laptops, and handheld gaming PCs. New Ryzen 9000 Series Desktop Processors AMD revealed the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D, both featuring the company’s 3D V-cache technology. High-Performance Notebook Chips For laptops, AMD introduced three new Ryzen 9000HX processors aimed at gaming notebooks: • Ryzen 9 9955HX3D: The sole model featuring 3D V-cache for gaming enthusiasts.• Ryzen 9 9955HX: Retains 16 cores without 3D V-cache.• Ryzen 9 9850HX: Offers a 12-core configuration. Intel has announced its new Core Ultra 200S Plus series desktop processors, which include the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and Core Ultra 5 250K Plus. China has banned Intel and AMD processors from China amid new guidelines to favor ‘domestic solutions’ for technology.
