Google has officially unveiled the Android 12 Beta 5 update, signaling the final version before its official release. It also includes improved stability for Android 12’s new core features such as Game Mode for optimized gameplay, AppSearch, which provides a high-performance on-device search engine, Splash Screen API for new app launch animations; and enhanced camera, storage, connectivity, privacy, and media settings. The Android 12 Beta 5 update is available for download for Pixel smartphones and select Google partner devices. Google has started rolling out Android’s new Desktop Mode for Pixel phones, allowing users to connect their device to an external monitor and use it like a desktop computer.
