Google's Play Store new Data safety section will allow users to see what data Android Apps will collect. Google has just announced a new safety section in the Play Store in the hopes to keep Google Play a safe, trusted space for people to enjoy Android apps. The Data safety section will allow users to see how each app collects, shares, and secures user data. Some information to be found in this new section will include if the developer is collecting data and for what purpose, whether or not the developer is sharing data with third parties, and even the app's security practices. X (formerly, Twitter) has rolled out a rebuilt version of its Android app after nearly a year of development. Nikita Bier, Head of Product at X, announced that the company rebuilt the app from scratch, calling it "one of the largest engineering efforts in the company's history." Bier also noted some improvements remain in progress, including better performance on older Android devices and support for hosting Spaces on Android.
