Microsoft quietly released its AI writing and productivity assistant, Copilot, to both Android and iOS. This app brings on-the-go access to features similar to ChatGPT.
While ChatGPT’s free version limits users to GPT-3.5, Copilot app boldly grants access to GPT-4—the cutting-edge large language model (LLM) from OpenAI—without any subscription fees.
On top of asking questions, summarize documents or draft write-ups, the app can also generate images thanks to DALL-E3 integration—OpenAI’s text-to-image generator.
Interestingly, Copilot arrives as a separate app from Bing Chat 69, which also harnesses GPT-4. The future of Bing Chat remains unclear. Whether it will merge with Copilot or continue as a distinct offering is yet to be determined.
Alongside its mobile debut on Android and iOS, Copilot also has a dedicated web experience 100. This further establishes its independence from Bing.
Users can download Copilot on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The app is also compatible for iPadOS.
