OpenAI has made Health in ChatGPT widely available in the United States, allowing users to connect the AI chatbot with medical records and wellness apps. OpenAI says more than 300 million folks use ChatGPT for health-related questions every week, which is sort of the point. OpenAI added that connected health data gets protected with extra encryption, and that this data is not used to train its AI models or even for advertising. Rakuten Viber has partnered with OpenAI to bring ChatGPT-powered features directly into the Viber app for users in the Philippines. OpenAI Vice President and Head of Global Business Development Torben Severson said the partnership brings helpful and creative AI tools into a platform people already use for daily communication. For AI features outside the dedicated ChatGPT chat, Viber said only the specific text, image, or request selected by the user is sent to OpenAI for processing, not the rest of the conversation.
