OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Health which is a dedicated health-focused experience that lets users securely connect medical records and wellness apps to get more personalized health insights.
The ChatGPT Health feature is designed to help users understand test results, prepare for doctor visits, and track wellness trends while maintaining strict privacy protections.
It brings health-related conversations into a separate space within ChatGPT. It also allows users to securely connect medical records and wellness apps such as Apple Health, MyFitnessPal, and Function.
OpenAI emphasized that ChatGPT Health is designed to support professional medical care and is not intended for diagnosis or treatment nor replace them.
Conversations in Health are isolated from regular chats with additional encryption protection. OpenAI states that it is not used to train AI models.
The feature was developed in collaboration with physicians. It will roll out gradually to selected users with wider availability planned in the coming weeks.
