Amidst the global pandemic that is COVID-19, local software and website developers were able to help in mitigating the situation through designing and publishing all-in-one apps and websites. Here are some of the free websites and Android apps that we gathered: Mobile apps WeTrace Made essentially for contact tracing and patient mapping, the Cebuano-made mobile app by DXFORM Inc. COVID Watch PH  This app was developed through the joint effort of of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and Galileo Software to locally monitor the COVID-19 cases. Dashboard Philippines A brainchild of Xavier School alumni and their teacher spearheaded by Weston Coleman, Dashboard Philippines is an interactive platform that gives access to the areas affected with the COVID-19. Google is expanding Gemini’s agentic features, allowing the AI to perform actions directly on Android apps. For example, users could ask Gemini to book an Uber or order from Uber Eats without opening the apps themselves. Microsoft has started rolling out an upgraded Android app mirroring experience on Windows 11, allowing users to view Android apps using nearly the entire desktop screen through the Phone Link app. The new feature, called Expanded screen, lets Android apps take up around 90% of the display, moving beyond the previously limited phone-sized portrait view.
