Apple has finally released the iOS 11.3 update to all supported devices including the iPad Air and later, the iPad Mini 2 and later, the iPhone 5S and later, and iPod touch (6th gen). The iOS 11.3 update includes a handful of new features such as new immersive augmented reality experiences. With iOS 11.3, apps can now deliver AR experiences that use vertical surfaces like walls and doors, in addition to horizontal surfaces like tables and chairs, and more accurately map to irregularly shaped surfaces like circular tables. Moreover, the data and privacy information has also been updated and the new icon for it will appear whenever Apple asks for access to personal information to enable features, secure Apple services or personalize an iOS experience. Apple has released the second developer beta of iOS 27. Apple says AirPort Utility will no longer be available for new downloads on iOS 27 and existing users may experience compatibility issues with the app. Moreover, the company also revealed that both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in Purple ship with the latest iOS 14.5, which features the ability to unlock iPhone with Apple Watch while wearing a face mask, an enhanced Apple Podcasts app with a redesigned show and episode pages, and a Search tab, as well as new emoji.
