Apple has just launched the macOS Catalina update for its line up of Macs. The macOS Catalina has a number of new features, including: Apple Music - Replacing iTunes, Apple Music allows users to access their music, as well as have access to 50 million songs, playlists, and music videos. MacBooks compatible with the macOS Catalina include: MacBook (Early 2015 or newer) MacBook Air (Mid 2012 or newer) MacBook Pro (Mid 2012 or newer) Mac mini (Late 2012 or newer) iMac (Late 2012 or newer) iMac Pro (2017) Mac Pro (Late 2013 or newer) Along with the new iPadOS, Apple has also previewed macOS Catalina which comes with new features, including the splitting of iTunes into three apps. In macOS Catalina, Apple will replace iTunes with its standalone versions of Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and the Apple TV app. Apple also improved security on the macOS Catalina with Gatekeeper that checks all apps for known security issues, while new data protections require all apps to get permission before accessing user documents. macOS Catalina will be available this fall as a free software update for Macs introduced in mid-2012 or later.
