A purported successor to the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 is making its rounds on the Internet. The new successor, known as the Ascend Mate 3, is said to have LTE connection and will run Android KitKat. Powering the smartphone is a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The first time I saw the Ascend P1 was over a month ago when I was having lunch with folks from Huawei Philippines. They were showing me the Ascend Y200 though and I never got the chance to check the other phone one of the reps were using. Apparently, the Ascend P1 holds the record as one of the thinnest smartphones at 7.7mm.
