recently announced that you can use the "beep" card for cashless payments at the LRT 1, LRT 2, and MRT 3 starting October 3. The beep card is a stored value smart card that you can use for cashless transactions like paying for your fare at the LRT1, LRT2 and MRT3. The beep card aims to reduce time spent in ticket-buying lines, and streamline train line transfers. In addition, beep offers a slightly lower fare compared to a standard single journey ticket which allows you to save a few bucks especially if you're a frequent LRT or MRT commuter. Starting today, September 20, students, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) can now apply for white Beep cards over-the-counter. Student Beep cards with a 50% fare discount will be available starting September 15, 2025. The 50% fare discount will be available at all train stations using Beep cards.
