Bank of the Philippine Islands, today, launched their new mobile app for iOS and Android. BPI customers may start downloading the app today at 12noon both on the Google Play Store and the iTunes App store. This allows more time for customers to transition to the new app but eventually, BPI will sunset the old one. X (formerly, Twitter) has rolled out a rebuilt version of its Android app after nearly a year of development. Nikita Bier, Head of Product at X, announced that the company rebuilt the app from scratch, calling it "one of the largest engineering efforts in the company's history." Bier also noted some improvements remain in progress, including better performance on older Android devices and support for hosting Spaces on Android. X has made the rebuilt Android app available globally through the Google Play Store.
