BPI (Bank of the Philippine Islands) has announced that starting March 1, 2024, loading your GCash account via the BPI app's "Load e-Wallet" will incur and additional Php10 charge. BPI's Load e-Wallet service used to be free-of-charge after GCash announced that they will implement a Php5 cash-in fee for all linked accounts last October 2, 2023. GCash even stressed that it was BPI that is taking the fees. Now, it appears that either you cash-in via the GCash app or you transfer via Load e-Wallet, there is no escaping the transfer fees.
