Google is taking another step toward bringing vertical tabs to Chrome, with the long-requested feature now appearing in the browser’s Beta channel. Users who want to try it out can enable the feature by heading to chrome://flags/#vertical-tabs, setting it to “Enabled,” and restarting the browser. Some users report missing behaviors found in rival browsers, such as expanded previews when hovering over collapsed tabs. Opera has rolled out Gemini-powered AI features to more of its browsers, expanding support beyond Opera Neon to include Opera One and Opera GX, bringing smart tools to over 80 million users worldwide. According to Opera, its partnership with Google enables these Gemini features to be offered for free in Opera One and GX, while users of the Neon browser gain access to more advanced Gemini 3 Pro capabilities. Samsung’s web browser may soon get new multitasking and artificial intelligence (AI) features as part of the upcoming One UI 9 update, according to recent reports. On larger devices like foldable phones, the browser may even support three windows at once. Because of this, it might use information from the browser such as browsing history or other activity to generate responses.
