Opera has rolled out Gemini-powered AI features to more of its browsers, expanding support beyond Opera Neon to include Opera One and Opera GX, bringing smart tools to over 80 million users worldwide.
The new AI side panel can summarize web pages, compare tabs, and analyze files, images, and videos based on browsing context. Users can also interact with the AI using voice commands, making hands-free searching and assistance easier.
Opera says the system now runs on its upgraded agent-based engine first introduced in Neon, delivering responses up to 20% faster. Privacy controls allow users to choose what information the AI can access.
According to Opera, its partnership with Google enables these Gemini features to be offered for free in Opera One and GX, while users of the Neon browser gain access to more advanced Gemini 3 Pro capabilities.
