Canva Manila officially announced its presence in the Philippines today in an intimate media launch here at The Fort. Canva Manila started with 8 people in their Makati office but is looking to hire more than double that in the coming months. Canva is a web-based tool/service for making really simple yet amazing graphics for web or print. Canva has officially launched Offline Mode, allowing users to create and edit designs without an internet connection. First unveiled at Canva Create earlier this year, the feature is now rolling out globally to all users at no extra cost. Canva claims people can work on designs without a connection for as much as 14 days after turning the feature on. Canva has expanded its AI-powered Magic Layers feature to OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini, giving users more control over AI-generated images. Magic Layers uses Canva’s AI technology to sort out image bits, like words , objects, and the backdrop, into separate, editable layers automatically.
