In order to better help and guide potential buyers on their next vehicle purchase, the Car Awards Group, Inc. Not only are they launching the usual Car of the Year - Philippines (COTY- P) and Truck of the Year - Philippines (TOTY - P) categories, the organization is also proud to introduce Motorcycle of the Year - Philippines (MOTY- P) which are handled by the authorities in motorcycle media. The Test Fest will begin in September and October in which over 100 motor vehicles will be individually and carefully tested. Awarding will be held in November and CAGI will announce the 2017 winners based on the collated results. The Honda Civic RS Turbo and the Isuzu D-Max are last year's winners of COTY - P and TOTY - P, respectively. Each year, winners for each category are announced, and from that winning pool emerges the year’s COTY-P, TOTY-P and this time, the MOTY-P. (CAGI) has officially announced this year's Car of the Year and Truck of the Year in addition to other category winners. Taking the coveted Car of the Year award is the Honda Civic RS Turbo CVT which bested 64 other nominees in the car segment. It also came out victorious in the Best Compact Car category.
