The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) reported a 93.61% drop in detected online gambling links in the Philippines during the third quarter of 2025. According to the report, adult gambling URLs fell from 4,308 in Q2 to just 275 in Q3. The CICC attributed the decline to stronger government monitoring, site takedown efforts, and ongoing awareness campaigns against illegal gambling. The agency said illegal online gambling contributes to financial crimes, data theft, and money laundering. The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) has recommended that the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) file charges against social media personality Jam Magno for allegedly promoting illegal online gambling sites.
