The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) have issued a warning to Roblox. The DICT and CICC have stated that Roblox could face restriction or suspension in the Philippines. Failure to comply could lead to restrictions in the Philippines. DICT and CICC also pointed to recent actions involving platforms like Telegram and Tumblr which were flagged over similar concerns but avoided bans after working with authorities. The digital wallet operator added that it is coordinating with the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group and the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) to track malicious accounts and mitigate fraud activity. The CICC said further investigation may determine whether a larger coordinated network exists behind the promotions. (Note: CICC notes his page appears to have been taken down.)
