DDR5 memory prices have dropped this week after months of increases, with some kits seeing cuts of up to $100 in the US. Recent listings show that 32GB DDR5 kits, which were priced above $450 before, are now selling for around $370 to $380. The price cuts are more noticeable on Corsair memory products, though other brands also saw small changes. Corsair has been selling RAM with the Vengeance series since 2011 and with the recent release of the newest memory technology, Corsair has given us a chance to test the latest iteration, the Vengeance DDR5. Design, Construction, and Packaging Right off the bat, we see the Vengeance DDR5 RAMs in its regular unapologetic Corsair packaging. The RAMs come in cardboard packaging with an image of one of the memory modules printed on the front along with the Corsair logo, model, frequency, and capacity. On the Corsair Vengeance DDR5 modules, the front of the DIMM itself looks sleek and aesthetically pleasing that features a silver-colored metal plate that has the Vengeance logo printed in the middle of it. Conclusion The newest generation of DDR5 RAM has been in the market for some time now, and despite the fact that it is still young in the market and can only be used with Intel's latest Alder Lake-S chipset, the increase in performance that it provides in relation to the previous generation is surprising.
