Although, CyanogenMod, the open source Android based operating system developed and maintained by the passionate developers and members of the community, will continue to live for those who wants to adopt it. As it turns out, some of the people who worked on CyanogenMod are now forking the source code and related patches to a new open source project called LineageOS.
