#DICT ICT training program

In order to provide Filipinos with industry-relevant skills for in-demand IT positions, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has teamed with Google Asia Pacific and Coursera to develop the Google Career Certificate Program (GCCP). This program is a component of DICT's larger endeavors to improve the nation's ICT skills, offering Filipinos all around the country easily accessible educational possibilities. DICT seeks to close the skills gap and get the local workforce ready for the changing digital world by working with international tech giants. The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has teamed up with SM Supermalls to help senior high school (SHS) students gain real-world digital skills through a new Job Opportunities Building Skills (JOBS) Immersion Program. DICT Secretary Henry Aguda said the initiative will prepare the youth for jobs in the digital economy. The partnership also supports DICT’s “Trabahong Digital” program, which aims to create 8 million digital jobs by 2028. As part of the launch, DICT unveiled Digital Corner learning booths that teach digital literacy, coding, cybersecurity, and online entrepreneurship.
