Globe said the satellite service aims to help bridge communication gaps, especially in isolated communities and disaster-hit areas. The Philippine government has partnered with Japan to roll out Spectee Pro, an AI-powered disaster monitoring platform aimed at boosting emergency response across the country. Developed by a Japanese tech firm, Spectee Pro uses AI to scan social media and online sources in real time, helping local agencies detect and respond to disasters faster. The Philippines is among the world’s most disaster-prone nations, topping the 2024 World Risk Report. From 2010 to 2019 alone, natural disasters caused ₱463 billion in damages, underscoring the need for smarter, faster response tools. They’re also ready to extend assistance to response and relief teams in affected communities. The companies urge everyone to take necessary precautions and heed the alerts and warnings of local governments and disaster response authorities.
