Disney+ has unveiled Verts, a vertical video feature to help users discover more content. Tapping it opens a vertical feed where users can swipe through short scenes and highlights from movies and shows available on Disney+. The Senate has passed a bill that would expand the authority of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to include streaming services like Netflix and Disney+. Disney+ with its price increase for Basic and Premium subscription plans are now live. To partially offset the sting, Disney+ is upping the max device logins to a generous 10 for Premium subscribers. The company previously reported in August that Disney+ lost over 10 million subscribers in large part due to the Indian market. Disney+ also introduced an ad-supported tier in the US, and Disney’s upcoming earnings call will provide insight whether it achieves the same traction as Netflix does. Disney+ and Hulu have announced that they will raise their prices for subscription soon.
