DITO Telecommunity Corp, the third telco in the Philippines, prepares its launch in the country by conducting a Friendly User Test (FUT). DITO also announced its launch in the first quarter of 2021. "We're making sure everything is ready before our March 2021 launch and provide you with the kind of service you deserve," DITO Telecom says on its statement from its Facebook page. Previously, The House of Representatives approved the third major telco's operations in the country, DITO Telecommunity Corp, under a 25-year legislative franchise renewal. DITO Telecommunity Corp is a telecom consortium of Udenna Corp owned by Davao City businessman Dennis Uy. Among major telcos, Dito Telecommunity posted the highest VoLTE penetration at 41.9%, followed by Smart Communications at 31.7% and Globe Telecom at 27.4%.
