DITO Telecommunity Corp, the third telco in the Philippines, prepares its launch in the country by conducting a Friendly User Test (FUT).
As posted on its Facebook page, it is currently running some tests on targeted areas. DITO FUT SIM cards and mobile app are currently available exclusively to the test participants, including some DITO employees and its pre-selected partners.
DITO further stated that the SIM cards and the app are not available for purchase and download.
DITO also announced its launch in the first quarter of 2021.
“We’re making sure everything is ready before our March 2021 launch and provide you with the kind of service you deserve,” DITO Telecom says on its statement from its Facebook page.
The DITO FUT SIM card and mobile app will only be made available to pre-identified testers and not available for purchase and download.
Previously, The House of Representatives approved the third major telco’s operations in the country, DITO Telecommunity Corp, under a 25-year legislative franchise renewal.
DITO Telecommunity Corp is a telecom consortium of Udenna Corp owned by Davao City businessman Dennis Uy. Its subsidiaries are Chelsea Logistics and Infrastructure Holdings Corp. and China Telecom.
