A new mode of transportation along EDSA is coming before the quarter ends. The COO of Global Electric Transportation, Anthony Dy, said in an interview that since the e-jeeps are practically powered by electricity, it won't add pollution to the already polluted EDSA. Also, the e-jeeps are said to be still cheaper to run than diesel-powered jeepneys that cost around Php1,000-Php1,200 compared to the Php400-Php500 of the e-jeeps of the same distance. Aside from the being electric-powered, the COMET e-jeeps have WiFi, a TV, and a CCTV on board. The route will start from North EDSA to EDSA-Ortigas.
