Elon Musk has now surpassed former President Barack Obama as the most followed person on Twitter. Musk now holds the title with 133.3 million followers on Twitter currently, whilst the former record holder, Barack Obama, currently has 133 million. This isn't entirely surprising since Musk does own the company and uses it to give updates regarding Twitter, voice his opinions, and tweet a bunch of memes. Apart from Musk and Obama, the top 10 most followed Twitter users today in no particular order are Justin Bieber, Cristiano Ronaldo, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Narendra Modi, Donald Trump, and Lady Gaga. Tesla Inc CEO Elon Musk has just sold 22 million shares of Tesla stock worth USD $3.58 billion. Reuters says that the electric-vehicle company's stocks have become one the "worst performing" in the industry this year, primarily due to investors worrying that Musk's recent takeover of social network Twitter would divert his attention from Tesla. Earlier this year, Musk completed his takeover of Twitter and has since promised big changes, such as the removal of the "Twitter for iPhone, Android labels" and has implemented a USD $8 dollar subscription for their verified badge. With Elon Musk now acting as Twitter's CEO and previously firing top directors and executives, Musk is now working on charging USD 8 per month for Twitter Blue with previous plans of charging it for USD 20 a month.
